What you need

red onion
fresh tomatoes

cup cucumber

tsp black pepper

pita bread

lb ground beef

oz feta

tsp ground cumin

tsp table salt
cup plain greek yogurt

tbsp olive oil

clove garlic clove

tbsp lemon juice

tsp garlic powder

tsp ground thyme
tsp dried oregano
Instructions
1. Make Tzatziki by combining 1 cup plain Greek yogurt, 1 tbsp fresh dill, 1/4 cup grated cucumber, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 finely minced garlic clove, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp black pepper. Combine well and place in the refrigerator until ready to serve. 2. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat and add 1 lb ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. 3. Add 1 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp ground oregano, 1 tsp ground thyme, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 finely minced garlic clove, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp black pepper to the ground beef and mix well. Cook until the meat is browned. 4. To assemble, add a layer of tzatziki to the pita, then top with lettuce, seasoned gyro meat, tomatoes, red onion, and feta cheese.
